    Been going here for years. Known for their BEC which is the best I've ever had anywhere. It can't be beat.

    Most absolute disgusting and rude service ever. I used to go here religiously as a teen volunteering across the street at the old turnpike animal hospital and then with friends for years on and off so it had a status with us....a certain nostalgia.

    I was in the area Today so I stopped in. yes, at closing which I didn't realize, ok fine. I'm in the restaurant business I get it. Sorry, you could have said we're closed.... or closing ..... and I would have left.

    However, they chose to serve me. So if you choose to serve, serve correct.

    The snotty, dotted cashier - "what do you want" do you have any bagels left -- NO .... ok how about bacon and egg on multigrain .... WHOLE WHEAT
    ok whole wheat ... WHOLE WHEAT TOAST OR BREAD .......
    I'm sorry you're a cashier at a breakfast deli sweetie but I didn't force you to work there. We know you do all your best work under the bleachers anyway.

    Another deer in the headlights in the back stared me down. Sorry you couldn't get to your Juul faster to calm your millennial anxieties.

    Then the portly cook begrudgingly made my order or some order. While she was making it or preparing another item the phone rang. "GO AWAY WE'RE CLOSED WE'RE DONE." -clearly doesn't belong in the business. Then portalina went to ring me up.... I go to pay and she pushes an empty brown paper bag toward me. I went to grab it thinking it was the sandwich and I said oh it's empty..... she goes YA it's NOT done yet. Sorry, sheesh go back to your sea cave and steal more poor unfortunate souls.

    I get my food which thankfully I realized was made by someone else as I didn't want her negative energy in my food.

    As I'm going to leave there's another worker at one door so I go to use the other door trying to escape and not bother them further after giving them money for food..... weird right. Anyway, the fossil barks at me "that doors locked, we're closed that's why I'm unlocking the door"

    I just shook my head and said wow ...... so what does she reply back? WOW YOURSELF!

    You unlocked a door and served me close to closing by choice..... ok so what Rumpelstiltskin do I owe you my first born child now?

    Terrible, terrible service and I threw the sandwich out. Never ever want anything to do with this place ever again.

    If these are the owners/operators, I as a person of this industry can tell you that you don't belong in it. If these were employees the whole lot needs to be fired as they are toxic and will poison any new employee that comes into work there. I'm baffled by the rudeness of mature in age persons as well...... whom are clearly influencing the snotty, dotted cashier and deer in headlights.

    What a disgrace.

    I love this place, only place I'll ever get the best bacon egg and cheese WITH home fries. Only downside is they run out of home fries so quick and the whole no credit card stuff. Like cmon this is 2019, I barely carry cash anymore. Its time to keep up.
    Other than those two problems the place is great for a takeout. Staff are friendly, so far. The new renovation looks good. recommend to anyone who wants a good breakfast sandwich !

    If you haven't been to this staple Fairfield stop and go then you are really missing out. The high school rush in the morning to get sandwiches is crazy and not without good reason. Country cow has the best bacon egg and cheese sandwiches and their ordering over the phone option and then picking up is the best for those days your running late would recommend this any time you want a great morning breakfast!
